Hi, I'm Jadzia (yes, I have a real name, no that's not it). I'm a 41 year old sorta but not really single pagan lesbian mother of two mostly grown daughters. I don't write fanfic much anymore, as my creative juices have been completely sucked dry in the last year or more, but I read a lot of it. Harry Potter is my fandom, though I read other things; most notably, I'm interested in The Sims 2. I'm currently playing around with some original fiction ideas, but don't hold your breath. My newest interest/obsession is House MD - the show and fanfic for it. I blame the girlfriend for this, as she's the one who got me hooked on the show. I'm a House/Wilson shipper all the way...but I like Wilson/Chase, too, and will read just about anything, except Cameron/Cuddy.
Some of my other interests include: reading, writing, cooking, music (I love local and indie band concerts). I'll listen to nearly anything; not rap or opera, though. I'm developing an interest in pilates and yoga, but that's an interest born of necessity. I'll read just about anything, but I'm not very fond of fantasy, oddly enough. I like sci-fi, historical fic, mysteries, thrillers, 'commercial' fiction (whatever that means) and all sorts of nonfic topics, including paganism, wicca stuff, earth based healing and historical lore, gay rights topics, sociopolitical commentary, etc, etc, ad nauseum. I like being outdoors, but am not into sports or major hiking. I like to walk outside and feel the wind, the sun, and some peace. Which sounds sappy, but you know...*g*.
I like art galleries (particularly the ones that sponsor new artists), museums, flea markets, farmer's markets, used bookstores, new bookstores, coffee shops, animals (cats, mostly) and earrings. Seriously. I don't wear jewelry regularly - just earrings and this Celtic pendant thing.
