WANTED: Drabble prompts

*waves* I've been in a posting/writing mood today. I actually posted two stories to two different comms and I never do that.

I've been helping [info]the_minx_17 with her batches of drabbles. It's been huge fun - I laughed myself sick over Kingsley and Mr. T, which isn't finished yet, but promises to be hilarious. Minxie has extracted suitable revenge, I think *sporfle*, if Eey decides to write the return prompt I was told she was given. *snicker*

Anyway, I've been doing Snarry drabbles semi regularly, and they're fun too. The process sparked a couple of short one shots, and injected a bit of punch into the longer stuff I'm working on. The longer stuff won't be done for awhile, but at least I'm working on it again, however sporadically.

So...I've decided to ask my delightful f-list for drabble prompts. Anybody can comment with a prompt, even if we've never spoken, k? It'd be particularly fun to get prompts from people who've done drabbles from my prompts. No limit on how many, though it might take me a few days to get 'em all done, if there are a lot. Word counts will range from 100 to 1000, depending on what ideas spark.

If you are so inclined, please give me a pairing and prompt - three words, or a brief description or whatever. I only fanwrite in the HPverse, but there are no limits on pairing - slash, femmeslash and het are fine. Please don't make me write Albus Dumbledore having sex, though. *snicker* I could probably do it, but we'd all be traumatized.

Stuff I'm working on...sporadically.

Excerpts )

There are others, but I've posted excerpts already. Sigh. Inspiration just doesn't strike as often as it used to. I'm hoping that doing drabbles will wake something up.

ETA: I've got thirteen prompts thus far, of which five are finished - would like one more, at least - I'm trying for an even number, so I can post half tonight and half tomorrow.

Idle musings

I have not posted anything, fiction or otherwise, in about a month. This disconcerts me. I'd got used to writing something and posting it regularly. It's not actually due to lack of creative output; I've been writing, but not in the HPverse. I've been doing quite a bit of beta work, too - on [info]the_minx_17's 'Come What May' which was absolutely amazing to work on, and on [info]lanisfanfiction's Harry/Draco stories.

You could call what I've written lately original fiction. Or you could call it lesbian erotica. Or you could call it idle fantasies. Whatever. It's fiction, and contains two or more female characters that bear no resemblance to Hermione or Ginny. I'm enjoying it, but I really want to finish my HP stuff. I miss it. Is that wierd?

You'd think, after having devoured the GoF movie as I have, that I'd be a quivering mass of Snarry or other pairings. Even my eldest daughter, who used to laugh when I declared that Harry was queer, agrees with me that GoF was a seething mass of boy on boy hormones. I've a couple of pieces I'm working on, but I lack the inspiration, at this moment, to continue them. I'm going to put excerpts up here, under the cut, in hopes of inspiring myself to finish them. Perhaps assigning titles and rereading while I decide what part to excerpt will spark something.

here, there be excerpts )

Anyway, that's what I'm working on, or rather, would like to be working on.
